Sexual Harassment: Anita Hill and the Clarence Thomas Confirmation Hearings

Nina Totenberg, NPR's legal affairs correspondent, discusses breaking the story about Anita Hill's allegations of sexual harassment against Clarence Thomas. These events took place during the Senate confirmation hearings for Thomas' nomination for Supreme Court Justice. Totenberg describes her personal experiences as the reporter who brought the story to light. She also discusses changes in social attitudes toward sexual harassment since that time, in part as a result of Hill's testimony.
