Transgender
Transgender is an umbrella term that typically describes any people who do not identify fully with the gender assumed for them based on their sex assigned at birth. This may also include people who at times identify with their assigned gender but do not identify with this gender all the time or identify with other genders along with the assigned gender. Transgender identities can be understood as including both binary identities (i.e. transgender woman, transgender men, etc.) as well as non-binary identities (i.e. gender diverse, agender, etc.) However, it is important to remember that although transgender is used as an umbrella term, some non-binary folks may not utilize this term.
