Why I am an AHA Advocate:
I am an AHA Advocate because I value the differences that exist between people. I believe that it is my responsibility to use my education and experiences to champion for a world where we can live in harmony. To me, being an advocate is an ongoing responsibility that involves continuously learning how to be a better ally, which often involves accepting when you are wrong and listening to others in order to grow.
Fun fact:
I have played percussion in an ensemble since I was 10 years old. I prefer melodic percussion instruments such as marimba or xylophone, but playing the tambourine is a great feeling!
