Why I am an AHA Advocate:
I am an AHA Advocate because prejudice occurs on a very small scale every day, but it is a systemic problem in our country. Without research, education, and advocates, nothing will ever change. Although the problems of prejudice cannot be solved overnight, I feel it is important to do my part each day. It is crucial to me that others have to face as little adversity as possible. Everyone deserves opportunities to achieve what they want in life without who they are making it difficult.
Fun fact:
Nothing brings me more joy than feeding giraffes at the zoo.
