Why I am an AHA Advocate:

I am an AHA Advocate because I have been enlightened to the wide array of problems that permeate U.S society. Becoming an AHA Advocate has granted me the opportunity to realize my goal of somehow making a positive difference. Participating in this seminar also meant a chance to deepen my understanding of systems of oppression, which has been especially helpful in coming to understand my unique American experience as a multiethnic immigrant.

I was born in the Central American country of Belize.
